Alameda began its heydey in the 1920’s and maintained its popularity through several generations. Residents enjoy access to public transportation and several wonderful parks including Grant Park (19 acres) and Wilshire Park (14 acres), both of which offer a variety of activities including picnic areas, sport fields, playgrounds, dog off-leash areas, and wading pools.
